Acupuncture combined  with FEAT and Hormone Balance Treat Infertility

   Major Causes of Infertility in Women

*      Unexplained or Combined Fertility Problems----This is the most common diagnosis in women’s infertility which simply means that modern medicine can not find explanations to identify the factors contributed to infertility. However, Chinese medicine may identify and treat these factors.   such as stress, environmental toxicity, over weight,  blood deficiency and stasis, cold womb, cold uterus, etc……

*     Allergy----More than 20% the US population has an allergic condition, making allergies the sixth leading cause of chronic disease.  Allergies may play an important role in women and men’s infertility.  According to oriental medical theory, allergies and allergy-based disorders are the results of long-term energy disturbances in the energy pathways. Severe allergic reactions are caused by severe energy disturbance in one or more energy meridians.  Identifying and treating allergies can balance energy system which in turn improve the entire health.

*     Hormone Imbalance—each hormone plays a vital and complex role during fertility, and many of them interact with each other to stimulate various parts of the whole process.
*      Sperm Allergy—Some women’s body may produce antibodies to kill the sperm.
*     Blocked Fallopian Tubes----that prevents the partner’s sperm from getting to the egg and prevent the fertilized egg from getting to the uterus.
  *     Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome----small follicles in the ovaries do not develop into larger, mature follicles, and often characterized by hormone imbalances and unpredictable ovulation patterns
*     Poor Egg quality—eggs are damaged or have chromosomal abnormalities and can not sustain a pregnancy.
*     Ovulation Problems----usually the hormone prevents the release of a mature egg from the ovaries.
*     Endometriosis----the tissue found in the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, usually in the abdominal-pelvic cavity.

Acupuncture improves the success of IVF

        Recent studies have shown that Acupuncture can greatly enhance the success of Assisted Reproductive Technologies( ART) procedures including Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), and IVF with Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
           The success rates for ART are not generally high. For example, national data indicates that IVF works 33% of the time for women age 30 and under, 29% of the time for women in their mid-30s, and 5-15% of the time for women age 40.
      However, women undergoing IVF were 65 percent more likely to become pregnant when they combined the procedure with acupuncture, recent studies have shown the following mechanisms:
 Acupuncture
*     Improve the function of the ovaries to produce better quality eggs.
*     Increase blood flow to the uterus and increase the thickness of the uterine lining, create a more suitable and fertile environment for mature follicles to both develop and implant.
*     Regulate the hormones to produce a larger number of follicles.
*     Relax the patient and decrease their stress.
*     Lessen the side effects of drugs used in IVF.
*     Strengthen the immune system.
*     Decrease chances of miscarriage.
*     Treating the male at the same time will improve semen to create better quality and quantity of embryos.
